Air-operated does not establish spring return, fail-close action or a SIL-rated shutdown assembly.
Gate valves are selected for isolation; throttling and prolonged partial opening require a separate duty assessment.
Published ratings do not establish suitability for every listed medium. Oxygen cleaning, material compatibility, trapped-liquid relief and project approvals are specified for the selected assembly. Liquid-hydrogen and helium service require a separate temperature and material review.
